{"id":955,"date":"2011-03-03T12:43:45","date_gmt":"2011-03-03T12:43:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.benjeapes.com\/?p=955"},"modified":"2022-08-26T08:32:50","modified_gmt":"2022-08-26T08:32:50","slug":"day-12-a-picture-of-something-you-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benjeapes.com\/index.php\/2011\/03\/day-12-a-picture-of-something-you-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 12: a picture of something you love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u00a0love\u00a0the gnocchi bolognese recipe we got off a card from Waitrose.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-wGTopFrDMg0\/TW-Iu8mwmAI\/AAAAAAAABUk\/PY9LfR3-9Ac\/s1600\/12.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5579828803459389442\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-wGTopFrDMg0\/TW-Iu8mwmAI\/AAAAAAAABUk\/PY9LfR3-9Ac\/s400\/12.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nParaphrased, the instructions on the back say:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500g beef mince<\/li>\n<li>1 onion, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1-2 cloves of garlic (aka lots)<\/li>\n<li>250g mushrooms, chopped \/ sliced<\/li>\n<li>440g jar tomato and herb pasta sauce<\/li>\n<li>500g gnocchi (potato is best)<\/li>\n<li>350g tub cheese sauce<\/li>\n<li>50g grated mozzarella, or whatever tickles your fancy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C \/ gas mark 4. Fry beef, onion and garlic until onion starts to soften.<\/p>\n<p>2. Stir in mushrooms and cook for a further 5-6 mins until meat is browned. Pour the pasta sauce over, bring to the boil, season with black pepper, then cover and simmer for 15 mins.<\/p>\n<p>3. Meanwhile cook the gnocchi according to packet instructions. Drain well.<\/p>\n<p>4. Spoon half the Bolognese mixture into an ovenproof dish. Top with the gnocchi. Add the remaining Bolognese mixture, spoon the cheese sauce over the top, sprinkle with the mozzarella\/whatever.<\/p>\n<p>5. Bake on the top shelf for 30-35 minutes.
