{"id":1121,"date":"2010-06-19T12:35:22","date_gmt":"2010-06-19T12:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.benjeapes.com\/?p=1121"},"modified":"2022-08-26T08:31:13","modified_gmt":"2022-08-26T08:31:13","slug":"larklitfest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benjeapes.com\/index.php\/2010\/06\/larklitfest\/","title":{"rendered":"LarkLitFest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just what is the point of having a stepson if he can&#8217;t even let you know about a literary festival happening at his own school under his very nose?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Did you know about the Larkmead Literary Festival?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The what?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;ll be launching an anthology of short stories written by Larkmead students, put together by your writer-in-residence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have a writer-in-residence?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And so forth.<\/p>\n<p>And it does sound to have been a Jolly Good Idea: respect to all involved. Mostly Books\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mostly-books.blogspot.com\/2010\/06\/larkmead-school-literary-festival.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has a report<\/a>, as does the Abingdon Herald, so that&#8217;s all points covered, though there may be the slightest sliver of bias in the Herald&#8217;s reporting. As well as P. Pullman coming along to help launch the anthology, it reports:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The visitors included authors M.G.
